The State of West Virginia is seeking a Corrections Program Specialist, Reentry Coordinator for the Eastern Regional Jail and Correctional Facility. This role leads coordination with Correctional Case Managers to guide offenders through reentry steps, schedule parole hearings, and ensure compliance with reentry procedures.

Responsibilities include tracking offenders awaiting approved plans, aiding out-of-state home plans, and evaluating and processing accelerated parole applications.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, corrections, social work or related behavioral or social science field.
• OR: Additional full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience may substitute for the required training at a rate of one year of training for every thirty (30) semester hours of experience.
• AND: Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional experience in corrections, probation/parole, law enforcement, social work, recreation, religion or related behavioral or social science fields.
• OR: Graduate coursework from an accredited college or university in criminal justice, corrections, social work or related behavioral or social science field may substitute for the required experience at the rate of fifteen (15) semester hours of training for every one year of experience.

Mansioni

• Coordinate with Correctional Case Managers to ensure offenders are taking appropriate steps for reentry into society.
• Complete and accurate scheduling of all parole hearings and compliance with reentry procedures.
• Track offenders waiting for an approved plan and assist with out-of-state home plans.
• Evaluate, complete and process accelerated parole applications.
• Position may be lead worker or supervisory depending on assignment.
