Qualifications

• Four or more years of experience in probation, parole, or related fields within the Missouri Department of Corrections.

Responsibilities

• Serves on a classification team; evaluates offender’s institutional adjustment and release plans; makes recommendations related to ORAS, RCA, ICA.
• Secures and verifies information from incarcerated offenders regarding home life, work history, and other factors; maintains classification files.
• Assesses classification status and prepares analysis for program eligibility determinations using AICS, RCA, ICA instruments.
• Acts as grievance officer; processes IRRs; conducts disciplinary hearings; participates in treatment team meetings.
• Processes offenders: initial file review, protective custody, enemy waivers, enemy lists updates.
• Handles offender needs: laundry, property, finances, mail, notices; notifies of critical illness/death of family.
