131 DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS is seeking a Correctional Case Manager at the Oklahoma State Reformatory to perform routine social casework in offender classification and re-entry planning. You will assess risks, prepare case histories, and advise on employment, education, and community resources to support successful reintegration.

Responsibilities include reviewing offender records, coordinating program assignments, and delivering re-entry services.

Qualifications

Level I: bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; substitute one year of experience for every thirty semester hours of education.
Level II: bachelor’s degree and two years of correctional records management or social casework with related responsibilities.
Level III: bachelor’s degree and three years of correctional records management or social casework with related responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Uses interview techniques and assessment instruments to determine offender needs and risks and prepares case history reports.
Reviews offender records to determine progress and decide on classifications or assignments.
Advises offenders on personal problems, employment resources, vocational skills, education, and adjustment.
Delivers programs to assist re-entry into the community after release.
Assists with or prepares reports such as parole summaries or presentence investigations.
Receives and handles mail for assigned offenders and develops transition plans aligned with re-entry services.
Establishes collaborative networks to provide pre- and post-release services with family and community resources.
