Qualifications

• Must graduate from high school or possess a GED.
• Must be at least 21 years old by appointment.
• Possess a valid California Driver's License.
• Never been convicted of a felony; disqualifying convictions apply.
• Legal right to work in the United States.
• Pass a medical examination and meet medical standards.
• Maintain physical fitness to perform duties.
• Pass a comprehensive background investigation including fingerprints.

Responsibilities

• Maintain order and security of inmates within a detention facility.
• Transport inmates to and from court and other locations.
• Supervise inmates on work projects County-wide.
• Assist in correcting antisocial attitudes and behavior.
• Complete training at Adult Correctional Academy as a trainee.
