You will monitor inmate movements, conduct counts, and respond to emergencies. The role spans posts including the control room, health services, perimeter security, transportation, and intake, with emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Overtime work may be required.
• Ability to handle physical and mental stress.
• Mature, flexible, and able to command respect.
• Preference for college coursework in behavioral sciences.

Responsibilities

• Oversee custody, care, and control of inmates or detainees while enforcing facility rules.
• Monitor activities across living, recreation, dining, and visitation areas.
• Coordinate movements, conduct counts, and provide emergency response as needed.
• Maintain reports and logs; complete disciplinary actions as required.
• Perform duties across posts such as control room, front entrances, health services, and perimeter security.
• Contribute to program activities safety and incident response.
