Job summary

Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a registered nurse to provide high-quality medical and behavioral health care within correctional facilities in Minnesota.

You will assess patients, administer medications, coordinate care, and maintain documentation to ensure safety and compliance. The role requires an active RN license in the state, BLS certification, and thorough knowledge of nursing scope of practice.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state where services are provided.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; hands‑on training.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Knowledge of the RN scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to patients.
• Contact practitioner to obtain orders.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments as ordered by the practitioner.
• Provide emergency first aid as needed.
• Record vital signs and other measurements on-site as appropriate.
• Triage nurse intake screenings for necessity and priority at sick call.
• Collect and record data for CQI reporting.
• Document care information concisely and accurately in timely manner.
• Collaborate with multiple medical services for diagnosis and treatment.
• Maintain aseptic technique and infection control precautions.
