NaphCare is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse to join the Arizona Department of Corrections - Tucson team in Tucson, Arizona. The RN will provide mental health care and counseling to inmates, working with correctional officers and healthcare staff to ensure safe, effective patient care.

Responsibilities include mental health evaluations, documentation in TechCare, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse or graduate of an accredited program for practical or vocational nursing.
• Active BLS/CPR Certification is required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in mental health or acute care, correctional experience preferred.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and mental health care concepts.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to correctional policies and code of conduct.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate patients in intake, mental health unit, emergencies, housing units, and segregation areas.
• Perform mental health evaluations and document histories and vital signs.
• Utilize TechCare EHR for documentation and records.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and correctional staff for coordinated care.
• Monitor compliance with ACA/NCCHC standards and facility policies.
