Job summary

NaphCare, Inc. is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our medical team in Tucson, AZ, supporting healthcare for individuals in the Pima County Jail.

The NP will assess, diagnose, treat, prescribe, and respond to emergencies in a controlled correctional environment, coordinating with officers and medical staff. Qualifications include an advanced nursing degree, AZ NP licensure, DEA registration, and ABMS board certification with a collaborative agreement on-site.

Qualifications

• Advanced nursing education (Master's or Doctorate) required.
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner; unrestricted AZ NP license.
• DEA registration required.
• Collaborative agreement with on-site Physician.
• Active BLS CPR certification (American Heart Association preferred).
• Board certification recognized by ABMS required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical examinations and develop treatment plans.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions (asthma, hypertension, diabetes).
• Administer medications and provide patient instructions.
• Monitor health records and vital signs; document histories.
• Provide direct patient care, triage, assess needs, and coordinate services.
• Respond to emergencies and arrange timely transport.
