Quality Correctional Care (QCC) is seeking a licensed practical nurse or registered nurse to join our team at Delaware County Jail in Muncie. This role requires handling intake, administering medications, and providing comprehensive healthcare to incarcerated patients.

You will respond to sick calls, perform 14-day physicals, manage chronic care, and educate patients on health concerns while maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Nights, full-time, with weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Valid LPN or RN licensure.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to push, pull, reach, and bend frequently.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive healthcare to patients.
• Administer medications and perform medical intakes.
• Respond to sick call requests and coordinate with medical staff.
• Perform 14-day physicals and manage chronic care.
• Provide patient education on health concerns.
• Respond to medical emergencies and take charge in emergencies.
• Maintain knowledge of pharmacology and medication costs.
• Guide Medically Trained Personnel as needed.
• Comply with all current and future state, federal, and local laws and regulations.
