Job summary

Quality Correctional Care is hiring a licensed practical nurse or registered nurse for full-time night shifts at Jefferson County Jail in Madison, IN. You will administer medications, perform intakes, and assist in medical emergencies while coordinating with the medical team.

The role requires current LPN/RN licensure, CPR certification, and the ability to stand for long periods. Training on chronic care, dressings, and health education is provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Valid LPN or RN licensure.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and perform medical intakes for incarcerated patients.
• Respond to sick call requests and coordinate with the medical provider.
• Change dressings as required by the medical provider; perform 14‑day physicals.
• Manage chronic care and provide patient education on health concerns.
• Respond to medical emergencies with the ability to lead in an emergency.
• Maintain pharmacology knowledge and advise Medically Trained Personnel.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local laws and regulations.
