CorrHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for a correctional facility in Artesia, NM. The RN provides comprehensive nursing care to inmates, conducts assessments, ordered treatments, and participates in care planning and evaluation. You may act as Charge Nurse in the absence of the HSA while maintaining security responsibilities.

The role requires current CPR/BLS, an unrestricted RN license, and the ability to operate standard medical equipment. Overtime and on-site responsibilities apply.

Qualifikationen

• Current and unrestricted RN license.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience in correctional healthcare preferred, but not required.
• Ability to operate standard medical equipment.

Aufgaben

• Assess health problems of new inmates and initiate medical records.
• Respond to day-to-day medical issues and emergencies.
• Administer prescribed treatments and medications.
• Prepare equipment and rooms for examinations.
• Maintain IVs and IV therapies.
• Educate patients on diet, hygiene and prevention of chronic diseases.
• May serve as Charge Nurse or Acting Supervisor in the absence of the HSA.
• Follow emergency procedures and triage guidelines.
• Provide CPR and AED if trained.
• Delegate tasks to lower-level staff.
