CorrHealth is seeking an RN Charge Nurse to oversee nursing/EMS staff and ensure high-quality medical services within a correctional facility. You will work closely with detention administration, manage medical records, and supervise daily clinical operations.

The role requires an active RN license, CPR/BLS certification, and prior supervisory experience in a healthcare setting. The position includes on-site leadership, quality improvement, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of nursing supervisory experience.
• Current and unrestricted RN license.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• TB test within one year.
• Correctional healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee orientation, training, performance evaluations of facility Nursing/EMS staff.
• Coordinate with Detention Administration to ensure clear communication.
• Respond to medical emergencies and administer prescribed treatments and medications.
• Prepare medical equipment, records, and rooms for examinations; assist providers.
• Maintain and document pharmacology practices for drugs and IV therapies.
• Delegate tasks to lower level licensure staff and educate patients on health practices.
