Job summary
VitalCore Health Strategies seeks a Nurse Educator - Registered Nurse to lead development, coordination, and delivery of training programs for the Kansas Department of Corrections. The role ensures onboarding, continuing education, and licensure maintenance for staff, promoting clinical excellence and compliance in correctional care.
The position requires a Registered Nurse with at least 3 years of healthcare training experience; correctional healthcare experience is preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Education, Nursing, or related healthcare field with at least 3 years of healthcare training experience.
- Correctional healthcare experience strongly preferred.
- CPR Instructor certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Create, implement and evaluate standardized training programs for VitalCore employees across Kansas, aligning curricula with corporate and state guidelines.
- Coordinate with Regional Managers, Health Services Administrators, and Statewide Officials to identify training needs.
- Ensure licensed clinicians receive continuing education to maintain credentials and stay current with best practices in correctional and community care.
- Travel regularly to correctional facility sites across Kansas and provide train-the-trainer support.
