Advanced Correctional Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse for on-site responsibilities in a correctional facility in Kansas.

The role requires timely nursing care, medication administration, and coordination with practitioners to ensure patient health and safety. Applicants should hold an active RN license in the service state, BLS certification, and demonstrate excellent documentation skills aligned with HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in the state of service.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; hands-on training.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Knowledge of the RN scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurately assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to patients.
• Contact practitioner to obtain orders.
• Administer prescribed medication, treatments and other tasks as ordered by the practitioner.
• Provide emergency first aid care, when appropriate.
• Record vital signs, peak flows, glucose checks, weight and other diagnostics on-site.
• Triage patient intake screenings for necessity and priority at sick call.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA practices.
