Job summary

Advanced Correctional Healthcare seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive nursing care in correctional facilities in Kansas. You will perform medication administration, monitor vital signs, provide patient education, and coordinate with practitioners to ensure safe, timely care.

You will triage, document thoroughly, uphold HIPAA standards, and participate in in-service training. Expect collaboration across teams with potential facility coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in the state of service and good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; hands-on training.
• Excellent documentation skills and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments as ordered.
• Check vital signs, glucose, weight and other tests as needed.
• Triage intake screenings for necessity and priority.
• Collaborate with medical services for diagnosis and treatment.
• Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA practices.
• Oversee and delegate duties within RN scope; train staff.
