Job summary

CorrHealth seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to support inmate care in a Denver correctional health unit, under RN supervision. You will assist in assessment, planning, and teaching, and perform medication administration, EKGs, and triage.

CPR/BLS and TB testing current; licensure in-state required. Strong communication, confidentiality, and safety in a corrections setting are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited LPN/LVN program.
• Current LPN/LVN licensure in the state of employment.
• Must maintain CPR/BLS certification.
• TB test within one year.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the assessment of inmates under RN supervision.
• Plan and implement treatment programs with RNs and staff.
• Administer medications including IV therapy when certified.
• Assist in evaluations, procedures, and SOAP charting.
• Obtain body fluid specimens and perform EKGs.
• Maintain and document controlled substances and equipment.
• Triaging and assessing healthcare requests.
