Job summary

CorrHealth is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to contribute to inmate care within a correctional health unit in Colorado. You will participate in the nursing process under RN supervision, focusing on assessment, planning, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited LPN/LVN program.
• Current LPN/LVN licensure in the state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a Registered Nurse, assists in assessing inmates' physical, psychological, and social needs.
• Plans and implements individual treatment programs using available resources and consultations.
• Administers medications by approved routes and IV therapy when certified.
• Assists providers in evaluations, procedures, and minor surgeries; documents with SOAP notes.
• Obtains specimens and performs EKGs using proper techniques.
• Maintains and documents controlled substances and medical equipment.
• Triages and assesses healthcare requests.
• Implements nutrition and therapeutic diets as ordered by providers.
