Benchmark Government Solutions is seeking a Corrections Food Service Director to oversee the facility’s food service operations. You will plan and execute meals, ensure safety and nutrition standards, and manage a team of cooks and aides.

The role requires strong leadership, budget and inventory control, and the ability to collaborate with medical, security, and administrative staff while maintaining compliance with regulations and inmate welfare.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ServSafe certification required.
• Minimum 1 year in food service management with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in a correctional facility or institutional food service preferred.
• Must pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the facility's food service department.
• Plan, prepare, and execute menus meeting nutritional standards and budget constraints.
• Supervise and train cooks, kitchen aides, and staff; conduct performance reviews.
