Job summary

The GEO Group Australia Pty Ltd. is seeking a Physician for a 1099 contractor, full-time schedule (40 hours/week) at a correctional setting in Colorado. The physician will diagnose and treat detainees, coordinate care with specialists, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Applicants must hold a medical degree, be licensed in the relevant state, have completed a U.S.-based residency, and possess a current DEA/DPS registration. On-call availability is required.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited school and license to practice in the state where the facility is located.
• U.S.-based residency completion required.
• Current DEA and DPS certificate of registration.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat detainees to provide injury care, disease prevention, diagnosis, and recovery.
• Prescribe medications and monitor ongoing pharmacologic treatment.
• Maintain clear health records and ensure patient confidentiality.
