NaphCare, Inc. is hiring a Mental Health Clerk at the William E. Donaldson Correctional Facility in Bessemer, AL. The role supports the Mental Health Director and Health Services Administrator within a controlled correctional environment.

The position requires strong administrative skills, 1+ year clerical experience, and proficiency with MS Office and EHR systems. It offers full-time hours and competitive benefits as part of our healthcare services team.

Qualifications

• Must hold a High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, time management and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Must pass criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls and direct/transfer to the appropriate staff; retrieve voicemails daily and return calls as needed.
• Prepare reports, memos and correspondence using MS Office; use software (X-Jail, TechCare) as needed.
• Enter client data into EHR systems including case notes, payments and scheduling.
• Shred all documentation containing PHI and coordinate with Records for archiving files.
