Rutgers University Correctional Health Care (UCHC) is seeking a Forensic Mental Health Clinician to work at Bayside State Prison in Leesburg, NJ. You will perform specialized testing and assess adults in the Department of Corrections, reporting to the Clinician Supervisor.

You will deliver crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy, and psycho-education, while coordinating treatment plans and resources across internal teams and community agencies.

Qualifications

• Ph.D., Psy.D., Ed.D. in Psychology with relevant experience including training in psychological testing and minimum of two years in a behavioral health care or related setting.
• Licensed in New Jersey as a practicing Psychologist or possess an unrestricted permit to practice psychology in New Jersey.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Administer specialized psychological testing and assessments for adult inmates.
• Provide crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy, and psycho-education as clinically indicated.
• Develop psychosocial treatment plans with inmates and staff partners.
• Advocate for resources based on assessed needs and coordinate with community agencies.
• Manage caseload with focus on quality care and security requirements.
• Maintain inmate records and oversee overall case management for assigned individuals.
