Job summary

Ashland University seeks a Site Coordinator for Chillicothe Correctional Institution to support correctional education staff and students. You will oversee daily operations, liaise with the DOC, and recruit eligible students while ensuring access to AU programs.

You will assist with FAFSA, aid counseling, proctoring, and assignment handling, while maintaining FERPA compliance and onsite presence. Start date 09/14/2026, 40 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• Ability to use LMS software and MS Office.
• Basic computer skills and troubleshooting ability.
• Understanding of academic environment and deadlines.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to pass background checks and work on-site 80% of the week.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations at correctional facilities and liaise with DOC.
• Identify, screen and recruit eligible students.
• Assist with AU applications and ensure access to courses.
• Support students with access issues and communications.
• Collaborate with Financial Aid on FAFSA and aid counseling.
• Assist proctoring, testing uploads, and submission of assignments.
• Provide AU orientation and correctional education processes.
• Manage inventory of devices and textbooks with timely reports.
• Distribute materials and coordinate course evaluations.
• Organize student activities and manage re-entry and FERPA compliance.
• Hold weekly student meetings and ensure policy compliance.
