Job summary

Ashland University seeks a Site Coordinator for Grafton Correctional Institution and Grafton Reintegration Center (Ohio). The role supports correctional education staff and students, liaises with DOC, and ensures access to courses and materials.

The coordinator will oversee daily operations, assist with admissions and FAFSA-related tasks, proctor assessments, and manage inventory while maintaining student privacy under FERPA. On-site presence is required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• Ability to use Learning Management System Software and productivity software such as MS Office.
• Possess basic computer skills with ability to troubleshoot issues.
• General understanding of academic environment.
• Ability to identify problems, suggest possible solutions and assist in resolution.
• Be physically present at the facility for 80% of the work week.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations at the correctional facility site and represent the university with the DOC.
• Act as liaison between facility staff, students and Ashland University.
• Identify, screen and recruit students in alignment with AU and DOC criteria.
• Assist students with AU application paperwork and ensure access to courses.
• Provide students with access to materials and equipment for coursework.
