Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Human Services, Recreation or related field; or High school diploma/GED with two years custody experience; or equivalent combo.
• Must be eligible for certification by the NC Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments of offender needs and develop case plans.
• Monitor for compliance and results; revise plans as needed to meet objectives.
• Provide information to offenders and families, offering supportive counseling.
