Reporting to a Correctional Programs Supervisor, this position is responsible for conducting initial assessments of offender needs and developing case plans, monitoring for compliance and results, and revising as appropriate to meet offender needs and achieve system objectives. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits.
As of January 01, 2025, there are new increase adjustments to the state’s pay plans which were approved by the State Human Resources Commission, effective January 01, 2025. The new salary range will be $35,984 - $62,971.

About Scotland Correctional Institution:
Scotland Correctional Institution is located in Laurinburg, North Carolina and houses up to 1,800 male offenders in a close, medium, and minimum custody facility.

Associate's degree in Criminal Justice, Human Services, Recreation, or a related field from an appropriately accredited institution

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of custody experience within the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction
Or
An equivalent combination of training and experience.
Necessary Special Qualifications:
MUST be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.

Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with more than 19,000 employees.
