Since 1989, TTUHSC Managed Care has been providing clinical andoperational support to correctional facilities throughout WestTexas and other regional areas. We serve approximately 30,000patients utilizing a broad range of comprehensive medical andhealth services. TTUHSC Managed Care strives to positively impactthe lives of our patients, to include many who had no previousaccess to quality health care.
TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visapetitions in accordance with the directive issued by GovernorAbbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required.On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsoreligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employerpetitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the$100,000 fee, if applicable.
This position assists in the overall operation of the UnitMedication Room and distributes clients medications from filledprescriptions.
Applicants will be considered for either a Correctional MedicationAide or Correctional Medication Aide Trainee level position basedon education, experience, and skills.
Graduation from an accredited high school or GED equivalent andEmergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMT-P) with currentcredential from the Texas Department of State Health Services, ORSuccessful completion of a certified medication aide trainingcourse and passage of State exam.
