Job summary

Protective Life Corporation in Birmingham, Alabama seeks a Legal Analyst to join the Corporate and Transactions Team. You will research requirements and prepare legal and regulatory filings, and communicate with state regulators and internal stakeholders.

The role supports corporate governance for the Board and committees, schedules meetings, drafts resolutions and minutes, and maintains organized records. A Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of corporate paralegal experience are

Qualifications

Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Careful attention to detail.
Highly organized with proven time-management skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

Research requirements and prepare legal and regulatory filings.
Communicate with state insurance regulators and internal stakeholders.
Support corporate governance activities for Boards of Directors and committees, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, coordinating with presenters, preparing meeting materials, drafting resolutions, and drafting meeting minutes.
Maintain organized records.
