Job summary

Protective Life Corporation has an opening in its Birmingham, Alabama corporate office for a legal analyst to join the Legal Department and work with the Corporate and Transactions Team on regulatory and corporate governance matters.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of corporate paralegal experience, a bachelor’s degree, and strong communication, organization, and MS Office skills. This full-time position offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of corporate paralegal experience.
• Associate’s degree and high school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; paralegal certification preferred.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry, particularly life insurance, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research requirements and prepare legal and regulatory filings.
• Communicate with state insurance regulators and internal stakeholders.
• Support governance activities for boards and committees, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, coordinating with presenters, and drafting resolutions and minutes.
• Maintain organized records.
