Job summary

Flok is seeking an experienced events program owner to lead large-scale corporate retreats (200–500 attendees) from brief to on-site execution. You will oversee vendor contracts, budgets, agenda design, registration, and on-site team leadership for single-property events.

You’ll act as the primary liaison with clients and vendors, ensuring smooth delivery and measurable results. This autonomous, project-based role rewards hands-on problem solving, calm leadership under pressure, and a track

Qualifications

  • Repeated end-to-end ownership of programs in the 200 to 500 attendee range.
  • DMC, incentive-house, or small-agency background is the strongest fit.
  • Have owned the budget and run registration and room blocks at that scale.
  • Directed on-site staff, not just executed your own list.
  • Real "I fixed it on-site when the plan broke" stories.
  • Prior freelance or multi-client work is a plus; autonomous project-based work.

Responsibilities

  • Vendor management: research, negotiate, and secure venues and vendors; own contracts, logistics, and deliverables
  • Budget oversight against the client's financial goals
  • Agenda design: workshops, speakers, activities, and networking that fit the client's objectives
  • Single-property logistics at scale: a large room block, registration, arrivals and departures, on-property movement between sessions
  • On-site management: directing the on-site team from registration through breakouts; calm handling of whatever breaks
  • Stakeholder communication: primary liaison across client, vendors, and internal team

Job description

About us

We plan corporate retreats end to end for growing companies, offering a la carte solutions across the event-management process. Our delivery network is independent operators who own their projects and pick their work, backed by a team that handles account management and technical support so you can focus on the craft.

What this role is

You take a program from brief through on-site execution and you own it. The budget, the agenda, the client relationship, and the room on event day are yours. These are large programs, 200 to 500 attendees at a single property, which means directing an on-site team rather than doing every task yourself. This is autonomous, project-based work for someone who has carried programs at that scale, not someone who needs an account director above them.

What you will own

  • Vendor management: research, negotiate, and secure venues and vendors; own contracts, logistics, and deliverables
  • Budget oversight against the client's financial goals
  • Agenda design: workshops, speakers, activities, and networking that fit the client's objectives
  • Single-property logistics at scale: a large room block, registration, arrivals and departures, on-property movement between sessions
  • On-site management: directing the on-site team from registration through breakouts; calm handling of whatever breaks
  • Stakeholder communication: primary liaison across client, vendors, and internal team

What we are looking for

  • Repeated end-to-end ownership of programs in the 200 to 500 attendee range, with no account director above you
  • DMC, incentive-house, or small-agency background is the strongest fit: trained to land in an unfamiliar city and deliver against a brief with no home-office safety net
  • You have owned the budget and run registration and room blocks at that scale
  • You have directed on-site staff, not only executed your own list
  • You have real "I fixed it on-site when the plan broke" stories
  • Prior freelance or multi-client work is a plus; you want flexible, autonomous, project-based work
