Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a Distribution Engineering Design Team Planner to coordinate design tasks, schedules, and resources for distributed engineering projects. You will work with Designers, internal teams, and external customers to ensure timely delivery.

Responsible for managing calendars, materials, and design workflows while maintaining Maximo backlog integrity. Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Maximo & CCS experience.

Job Summary/Purpose

Responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing distribution customer requested work, mandated work, line maintenance tasks, capital projects, and day-to-day design activities for the Distribution Engineering Design team.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Contact external customers within one working day and schedule an appointment, if required, for the customer to meet with a Designer.
• Collect design information while speaking to the customer.
• Interpret and ensure consistent application of organizational policies related to customer requests.
• Provide customers with information on the tasks they must complete to receive service on the date requested.
• Manage Design resources within a geographic area and match them to the workload by assigning each Designer to a primary and secondary geographic area.
• Monitor each Designer’s calendar so that appointments can be made effectively and efficiently.
• Communicate regularly with Designers regarding assignments, schedules, and questions related to specific customer calls.
• Communicate periodically with the Network Line groups to expedite work, if possible, to meet customer’s requested service date or to handle a special request.
• Identify and rectify the root cause of customer complaints and/or inquiries as appropriate.
• Maintain working knowledge of AM/FM-DFM and Maximo as they relate to construction applications.
• Review and update Maximo Backlogs for the Distribution Engineering Dept. Identify deficiencies, analyze alternatives, and recommend solutions.
• Serve as a member of the Storm Response Team for restoration efforts. Provide support to the Damage Assessment and/or Logistics functions.

Minimum Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience.

Minimum Experience Required

• 2 years Transmission or Distribution experience, a plus if with Entergy.
• 1 year of Maximo & CCS experience, a plus.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required

• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with multiple levels of the organizational structure.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills. Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Experience/training in scheduling resources or maintenance and construction practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Excel and database applications.
• Desired knowledge of Maximo, GDT, AMFM DFM, Storm Assist, Power BI, CCS, and Distribution Line construction, maintenance, and materials.
