Job summary

Legal.io is seeking a corporate paralegal to join its legal team, focusing on transactions and governance while implementing new AI-enabled workflows. The role supports attorneys by coordinating diligence, documents, and broader legal operations to keep negotiating teams focused on strategy and execution.

You will identify inefficiencies, leverage technology to streamline management of diligence materials, and help oversee pre-close activities, entity transfers, and post-close support.

Qualifications

• 3 to 7 years of experience; in-house experience preferred.
• Background in transactions, M&A support, or deal process management.
• Self-starter who takes ownership and can propose solutions without detailed direction.
• Collaborative, transparent, and comfortable in a small team.
• Interest in legal tech and AI; experience adopting or building tools to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Identify inefficiencies in legal processes and design better workflows.
• Leverage tech and AI tools to streamline document management and diligence.
• Support large, complex transactions from diligence through closing.
• Gather, organize, and maintain transaction documents in shared drives.
• Coordinate with PMO on asset onboarding and pre-close diligence.
• Manage due diligence materials and closing documentation.
• Help coordinate entity transfers and post-close legal support.
• Build scalable workflows and align with team processes.
