Job summary

Legal.io is seeking a corporate paralegal to join its legal team, focusing on transactions and governance while implementing new AI-enabled workflows. The role supports attorneys by coordinating diligence, documents, and broader legal operations to keep negotiating teams focused on strategy and execution.

You will identify inefficiencies, leverage technology to streamline management of diligence materials, and help oversee pre-close activities, entity transfers, and post-close support.

Qualifications

• 3 to 7 years of experience; in-house experience preferred.
• Background in transactions, M&A support, or deal process management.
• Self-starter who takes ownership and can propose solutions without detailed direction.
• Collaborative, transparent, and comfortable in a small team.
• Interest in legal tech and AI; experience adopting or building tools to improve workflows.

This person will use technology and AI to build smarter processes while providing day-to-day deal support, document and diligence coordination, and broader legal operations assistance so attorneys can stay focused on negotiation and execution. The ideal candidate takes initiative, thinks in systems, and wants to shape how the team runs as it grows.

Core responsibilities

• Identify inefficiencies in legal processes and help design and build better workflows
• Leverage tech and AI tools to streamline document management, diligence tracking, and recurring tasks
• Support large, complex transactions from diligence through closing
• Gather, organize, and maintain transaction documents in shared drives
• Coordinate with PMO on asset onboarding and pre-close diligence
• Manage due diligence materials and closing documentation
• Help coordinate entity transfers and related post-close legal support
• Strong process mindset: understands how workflows fit together and is excited to build alongside the team
• Genuine enthusiasm for legal tech and AI, ideally with experience adopting or building tools that improve how work gets done
• Self-starter who takes ownership and finds solutions without step-by-step direction, while not needing to set overall legal strategy
• 3 to 7 years of experience; in-house experience strongly preferred
• Background in transactions, M&A support, or deal process management. Candidates with fewer years in corporate work but strong tech and process skills are encouraged to apply
