Job summary

BlackSky is seeking a paralegal to support the Legal Department and report to the Associate General Counsel. The role can be based at Herndon, VA or fully remote, with a preference for a candidate on the East Coast in EST and limited travel to the Herndon office annually.

Responsibilities include governance, filings, entity maintenance, SOX/SEC support, and external counsel management. Strong emphasis on contract administration and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Paralegal studies certification.
• At least 3 years as a paralegal.
• Experience in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
• Experience with corporate governance.
• Experience with entity formation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Support corporate governance activities and documentation.
• Assist with corporate filings and entity maintenance (domestic and international).
• Provide administrative and audit support for SOX reporting and SEC filings.
• Assist Legal Department; manage disputes and external counsel relationships as needed.
• Oversee NDAs and commercial evaluation agreements; track renewals.
• Support procurement and invoicing via Deltek; provide monthly reports for compliance.
• Negotiate and manage consultant agreements and renewal timelines.
• Maintain and update electronic contract and legal files.
• Other duties as assigned.
