Job summary

BlackSky Holdings LLC is seeking a paralegal to report to the Associate General Counsel. The role provides essential administrative support for the Legal Department and supports corporate initiatives.

The position may be based at the Herndon, VA headquarters or fully remote, with a strong preference for someone on the East Coast or EST and limited travel to Herndon. Responsibilities include governance, filings, SOX/SEC support, dispute assistance, NDA and agreement management, contract file

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Paralegal studies certification.
• Minimum of three years paralegal experience.
• Experience in fast-paced, highly regulated environments.
• Prior audit support experience and corporate governance exposure.
• Experience with entity formation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Support corporate governance activities and maintain documentation.
• Assist corporate filings and domestically/international entity maintenance.
• Provide audit support for SOX and SEC filings.
• Support Legal Department, including dispute and litigation support; manage external counsel relationships.
• Oversee NDAs and commercial evaluation agreements; manage renewal timelines.

Job Summary:

BlackSky is looking for a paralegal to report to the company's Associate General Counsel. The position will support the Legal Department's activities and broader corporate initiatives by providing crucial administrative support and assistance. The position can be based at the company's Herndon, VA headquarters or may be fully remote, with a strong preference for someone located on the east coast/within EST, with limited travel to the Herndon office once or twice a year in support of corporate meetings and team building activities.

Responsibilities:

• Support corporate governance activities and organize and maintain documentation.
• Support corporate filings and establishment and maintenance of entities, both domestic and international. Maintain documents and renewals.
• Provide administrative and audit support for SOX reporting and SEC filings.
• Provide administrative support to Legal Department, to include dispute and litigation support as needed. Engage and manage external counsel relationships as required.
• Oversee issuance and tracking of non-disclosure agreements and commercial evaluation agreements.
• Support issuance of certain corporate and program-specific Purchase Orders (PO) and invoices via Deltek system. Provide accurate spread sheet or system report monthly for compliance.
• Issue, negotiate and manage consultant agreements and renewal timelines.
• Assist in maintaining and updating electronic contract and legal files.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent experience.
• Paralegal studies certification.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a paralegal.
• Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
• Prior audit support experience.
• Experience with corporate governance.
• Experience with entity formation and maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior SOX and SEC filing experience.
• Notary Public.
• US Government contracting support experience for a US or DOD Government contractor.
• Foreign business registration and maintenance experience.

The anticipated base salary range is $75,000 - $95,000 per year. The final compensation package offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on specific background and education. BlackSky is a multi-state employer, and this pay scale may not reflect salary ranges in other states or locations.
