Job summary

Protective Life’s Birmingham, Alabama office seeks a Legal Analyst to join the Corporate and Transactions Team. You will research regulatory requirements, file filings, and liaise with state regulators and internal stakeholders.

You’ll support governance for boards and committees, including meeting logistics, agendas, resolutions and minutes. The role requires strong written and verbal communication, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and with teams.

Qualifications

• Three years of corporate paralegal experience.
• Associate’s degree and high school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred).
• Paralegal certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Research requirements and prepare legal and regulatory filings.
• Communicate with state insurance regulators and internal stakeholders.
• Support corporate governance activities for Boards of Directors and committees, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, coordinating with presenters, preparing meeting materials, drafting resolutions, and drafting meeting minutes.
• Maintain organized records.
