QTS Data Centers in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an experienced Corporate Counsel to support the company’s legal operations and strategic initiatives.

You will oversee general corporate matters, negotiate and draft customer and vendor contracts, and assist with regulatory compliance, privacy, data security, and insurance programs. The role requires strong negotiation, communication and leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials.
• Admission to the Bar of a U.S. state or the District of Columbia.
• Two or more years of legal experience as a practicing lawyer working in a general corporate transactional practice.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing general corporate legal matters
• Negotiating and drafting customer and vendor contracts as well as various other transactional matters
• Assisting with legal and regulatory compliance
• Assisting with compliance with various domestic and international privacy laws
• Assisting with the company’s data security program
• Assisting with management of the Company’s insurance program and operations
• Assisting with a variety of other legal functions such as loans, joint ventures, acquisitions, construction, real estate, intellectual property protection, tax abatements, litigation, etc.
• Managing collections on customer accounts
• Performing a broad range of legal matters and general business matters based on the needs of the company, as assigned.
• Working with and managing outside counsel, counterparties, insurers, and other third parties as needed
