Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking an experienced Corporate Counsel with a focus on construction and project development. You will handle negotiating and managing complex construction contracts, oversee procurement terms, and advise on regulatory, environmental, and permitting issues.

You will collaborate with development teams, manage relationships with contractors and utilities, and support project financing and related transactional matters while coordinating with outside counsel as needed.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials.
• Admission to the Bar of a U.S. state or the District of Columbia.
• Two or more years of legal experience in corporate transactional or construction-focused practice.

Responsibilities

• Oversee legal aspects of construction and procurement contracting terms; work with Development team on negotiating and managing construction contracts.
• Advise on regulatory, health and environmental matters regarding development projects.
• Negotiate with contractors and utility providers.
• Structure project-related documents including vendor/supply, O&M, and related agreements.
