Job summary

Coupang, Inc. is seeking a high-caliber corporate attorney to provide day-to-day governance, SEC regulatory, and M&A support. Reporting to the VP of Legal, Deputy General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, you will collaborate with Global Total Rewards, Tax, Treasury and more, guiding risk-balanced decisions.

Based in Mountain View, CA or Seattle, WA, you will handle sensitive matters, mentor teams, and operate in a fast-moving, hands-on environment that values strategic judgment and credibility.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 3-6 years of relevant experience.
• Legal experience advising corporate clients.
• Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze corporate legal matters and balance risks.
• Developed business acumen and ability to understand Coupang's business.
• Timely, responsive advice in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Be a trusted legal advisor on global corporate and SEC matters.
• Partner with internal stakeholders across departments to balance risk and compliance.
• Review and negotiate M&A transactions and credit facilities.
• Review and negotiate third-party contracts for legal service providers.
• Advise business partners on risks and mitigation strategies.
• Perform other governance and administrative duties as assigned.
• Some travel may be required.
