MongoDB is seeking a Director, Corporate Counsel to lead critical corporate, securities, and governance initiatives across our global organization. This role can be based in New York, Palo Alto, or remotely in the United States.

You will partner with the Board, executive management, Finance, HR, and Investor Relations to ensure robust public company compliance, scalable legal operations, and strategic transactions in a high-growth environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
• 10–12+ years corporate experience at a top-tier law firm and a fast-growing public tech company.
• Proven record leading SEC filings, governance frameworks, M&A, and board-level reporting.
• Strong executive presence with ability to advise C-suite and board members.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end SEC reporting and disclosures (Form 10-K/10-Q/8-K, Section 16).
• Lead governance initiatives and board support, including proxy statement management.
• Direct M&A diligence, drafting, negotiation, and post-close integration.
• Oversee global equity programs, executive compensation, and trade compliance policies.
• Provide strategic counsel on earnings releases, investor relations, and disclosures.
• Manage external counsel and drive legal tech innovations and AI workflows.
