Job summary

Boise Cascade seeks a Counsel to join the Corporate Legal team. The successful candidate will be a new or recent law school graduate, based in Boise, ID, with travel to North America as needed. Primary duties include providing legal counsel under supervision, negotiating contracts, advising on IP and labor matters, and supporting mergers and compliance initiatives.

The role offers full-time, on-site work with a comprehensive benefits package and Total Rewards. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school with bar admission in Idaho or eligibility.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to travel 10–15% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel to clients within the corporation under supervision of the Associate General Counsel.
• Support General Counsel and participate in committees and task forces.
• Analyze facts, data, documents and applicable law for assigned issues.
• Draft and negotiate contracts including supply, vendor and employment agreements.
• Advise on intellectual property and labor/employment law issues.
• Assist with mergers, acquisitions, due diligence, and compliance programs.
