Job summary

Boise Cascade is seeking a Counsel or Senior Counsel to join the Corporate Legal team in Boise, ID. Based at the corporate HQ, you will handle complex legal matters with autonomy, advise on business decisions, and liaise with vendors on privacy and technology contracts.

You will work in-office at least four days per week, support governance, compliance, and risk management, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across North America.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ABA accredited law school.
• Member of a state Bar Association.
• Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Extensive experience in contracts, risk management, and regulatory compliance with an understanding of financial implications.

Responsibilities

• Contract Review and Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate vendor contracts, service agreements, NDAs, licensing.
• Corporate Governance Support: Support board/shareholder matters, entity management, and corporate filings.
• Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management: Advise on legal risks and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Due Diligence Review: Assist in M&A due diligence and integration efforts.
