Job summary

Upbound Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Corporate Counsel to provide broad legal support across contracts, compliance, litigation, and regulatory matters.

You will partner with senior legal members, business stakeholders, and outside counsel to manage risk, draft and review agreements, and advance strategic initiatives. The role emphasizes practical tools, templates, and workflows to improve efficiency, with responsibilities across due diligence, audits, and internal policy development.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from ABA-accredited law school and bar admission in at least one US state.
• 1-3 years of legal experience in contracts, litigation, compliance, regulatory, or general corporate support.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, revise, and negotiate commercial agreements including MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, and licensing materials.
• Support compliance with federal, state, and local laws and assess risk in vendor relationships and initiatives.
• Develop and maintain internal policies, templates, and playbooks; improve processes.
• Assist in managing nationwide consumer litigation docket and related case materials.
• Support subpoenas, audits, and regulatory investigations with organized document handling.
