Job summary
Metropolis Technologies, based in Chicago, seeks a Corporate Counsel to support our Senior Counsel across business regions. You will draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts, mitigate risk, and help align legal strategy with urban mobility tech.
You are a proactive, collaborative attorney with 5+ years of transactional experience, licensed in IL or TN, and you embrace AI tools to streamline workflows and accelerate business impact.
Qualifications
- JD required and license to practice law in Illinois or Tennessee.
- 5+ years in corporate law or transactional practice.
- Experience with management, operating, technology and procurement agreements.
- Ability to adopt and champion AI tools to transform workflows.
- Strong writing, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal support to one or more regions or practice groups.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts, including SaaS, procurement, IT, government, leasing, and consulting agreements.
- Partner with Revenue and Operations teams to mitigate risk and drive business outcomes.
- Develop and execute legal strategies aligned with Metropolis's technology and urban mobility focus.
- Coordinate disputes and manage outside counsel as needed.
- Adopt AI tools to drive efficiencies across the legal team's workflows.
