  • Support the Senior Counsel in acting as a proactive and trusted business partner, assisting stakeholders with a wide variety of contract‑related issues, compliance matters, and risk assessments
  • Work closely with business teams and the Senior Counsel to help develop and execute legal strategies that protect and advance the company’s operations
  • Develop a deep understanding of our cutting‑edge technology business and the broader urban mobility industry
  • Draft, review, and support the negotiation of a broad range of commercial contracts, including software as a service (SaaS) agreements, client agreements, procurement agreements, information technology agreements, government contracts, commercial leasing agreements, and consulting agreements
  • Adopt and champion the use of AI tools to drive efficiencies and reduce redundant tasks across the legal team’s workflows
  • Support the coordination of business disputes and assist in managing outside counsel as needed
  • Provide essential support to the Senior Counsel and other attorneys within the department
What we’re looking for
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active license or eligibility to practice law in Illinois or Tennessee
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a corporate law department or a business/transactional practice group at a law firm
  • Experience with a variety of commercial contracts, including management, operating, technology, and procurement agreements
  • Proven ability to adopt and champion AI tools to transform static workflows into responsive, high‑output processes
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong transactional and legal writing skills
  • Strong practical decision‑making and problem‑solving skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to quickly identify and grasp complex legal issues and communicate key issues clearly and concisely to colleagues and business partners
While not required, these are a plus:
  • Experience drafting and negotiating Software as a Service (SaaS) contracts
  • Commercial leasing experience
  • Prior in‑house legal department experience
