Job summary

iSuite L.L.C. is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join our Legal team in St. Louis, MO.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of experience, including in-house and litigation exposure, and will negotiate complex construction and professional services contracts while managing disputes. This role focuses on construction project lifecycle decisions, risk assessment, and collaboration with senior leadership to protect company interests.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate required.
• Bar membership as an attorney licensed to practice law in one or more states required.
• 5+ years of legal experience, with both in-house and litigation experience required. Construction experience is preferred.
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
• Highly organized, proactive, and accountable, with exceptional follow-through.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in managing complex legal projects and transactions.
• Knowledge of processes, rules, and procedures for litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
• Experience communicating legal risks and concerns to internal stakeholders, including executive leadership.
• Sound judgment on when a matter needs to be escalated versus handled independently.
• Comfort with adapting to processes in a growing organization where internal infrastructure is still developing.
• Ability to work effectively with outside counsel while keeping the company's interests and timelines on track.

Responsibilities

• Review, edit, and negotiate complex subcontracts with general contractor partners, subconsultant agreements for professional services, vendor agreements, recruiting agreements, and software and technology license agreements.
• Coordinate with business development and project teams to evaluate potential projects based on the Company’s preferred risk profile.
• Collaborate with business leadership, including relevant senior leadership, to identify, assess, and mitigate project and contractual risks.
• Serve as Legal contact for project-related disputes and work with project teams to progress towards resolution.
• Take a proactive, project-first approach to solving disputes while protecting the Company’s rights.
• Retain and manage outside counsel as needed.
• Support the formal dispute resolution process, including mediation, arbitration, litigation, and settlements.
• Provide project delivery guidance to address issues as they arise over the course of construction projects.
• Support licensing, corporate governance, insurance, and risk management strategy across the Company.
• Assist with Company-wide education efforts related to Legal priorities.

iSuite L.L.C. is seeking a qualified professional to join our Legal team. iSuite is a business support services organization formed in 2023. The organization provides business development and pursuit, estimating, safety, accounting, human resources, information technology, marketing, and training services to clients within the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (A/E/C) industry.

We are currently looking for a Corporate Counsel to join our Legal team located at our office in St. Louis, MO. Our ideal candidate for a Corporate Counsel is someone who has 5+ years of experience andwill serve as a member of the Company’s Legal and Risk organization, primarily responsible for contract negotiation and claims management for the Company’s construction and desi gn projects. This role reports to the Senior Counsel.

This is first and foremost a construction project lifecycle role. Expect to review and negotiate construction and professional services contracts, evaluate and manage claims and disputes, work together with project teams to ensure efficient dispute resolution with minimal escalation, and provide as-needed support on a broad range of legal topics. This role will work closely with business and executive leadership to provide input on practical risk decisions and support project teams from project selection through close-out and will coordinate with the Company’s outside counsel on active dispute resolution matters.

Primary responsibilities for iSuite ’s Corporate Counsel in clude:
