Job summary

Conexus is seeking a Corporate Controller in San Diego, CA, offering a hybrid schedule with 2-3 days onsite per week. The role leads accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls as the company scales its technology and manufacturing offerings.

The ideal candidate combines strong US GAAP expertise with a hands-on leadership style, overseeing close processes, audits, and process improvements while partnering with senior leadership to drive growth and financial visibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Progressive accounting experience including corporate accounting operations and financial reporting.
• Experience supporting a technology business with hardware and software products.
• Manufacturing accounting experience, including inventory and product costing.
• Experience in or supporting a publicly traded company preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial statement prep, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities with timely financial reporting.
• Oversee general ledger activity, reconciliations, and supporting schedules per US GAAP.
• Manage revenue recognition, inventory, cost accounting, fixed assets, and related ops.
• Collaborate with manufacturing/ops to improve inventory accuracy and visibility.
• Monitor COGS, variances, and product margins for profitability.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and internal controls.
• Coordinate external audits and audit inquiries for accuracy.
• Support reporting and compliance for a publicly traded international company.
