Job summary

Professional Search Group in Carlsbad, CA, is partnering with a San Diego–based tech company to hire a Controller who will oversee the accounting function and lead a five-person team. The role reports to a collaborative CFO, driving GAAP reporting, controls, and process improvements to support growth.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of related experience, CPA preferred, and proficiency in Netsuite and advanced Excel. Hybrid work schedule and strong compensation offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• CPA license preferred or eligible.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP systems experience (Netsuite preferred).
• 7+ years of related accounting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting department and lead a team of five.
• Prepare and present GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including AP/AR, billing, reconciliations.
• Coordinate external audits and ensure internal controls.
