Job summary

Align is seeking an experienced Assistant Corporate Controller to lead accounting operations for a fast-growing construction company specializing in hyperscale data center fit-outs. This hybrid role is based in Woodbridge, NJ, reporting to the Corporate Controller and partnering with Finance, Operations, and Executives to ensure accurate, timely, and scalable financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, CPA preferred, and strong expertise in GAAP,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger, month/quarter/year-end close, and revenue recognition.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, Sage Construction, Vista, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements under U.S. GAAP.
• Oversee revenue recognition and construction contract accounting.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Support cash forecasting, liquidity management, and treasury activities.
• Manage and mentor accounting staff and drive process improvements.
