Top Stack is seeking a Corporate Controller to lead all accounting and financial operations in an on-site setting. This role offers a direct, structured path to the CFO position, providing high visibility with the executive team and board.

You will oversee budgeting, costing, inventory, and financial reporting across manufacturing facilities, while guiding strategic capital decisions and risk management. The ideal candidate will bring 7–10 years of accounting leadership in food/CPG

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role within the food, beverage, or CPG manufacturing industries.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring GAAP compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Manage standard costing models, BOM, yield analysis, and inventory valuation across manufacturing facilities.
• Partner with CFO and executive team on capital allocation, strategic planning, and board presentations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team, fostering continuous improvement.
• Maintain internal controls and coordinate external audits.

Are you an ambitious financial leader ready to drive the financial strategy of a rapidly growing food distribution company? We are seeking a high-performing Corporate Controller to oversee our complete accounting and financial operations. This is a critical leadership role with a direct, structured track to transition into the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position.

You will manage the day-to-day corporate accounting, plant costing, inventory control, and financial reporting while partnering with executive leadership to scale our operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Leadership: Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
• Cost Accounting & Inventory: Manage standard costing models, bill of materials (BOM), yield analysis, and inventory valuation across our manufacturing facilities.
• CFO Succession Training: Partner directly with the current CFO and executive team on capital allocation, strategic planning, M&A due diligence, and board presentations.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Internal Controls & Audits: Maintain internal control structures to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting; coordinate all external audit activities.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Spearhead the annual budgeting process and deliver rolling financial forecasts that reflect commodity pricing fluctuations.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role within the food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturing industries.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Deep familiarity with food safety compliance reporting, ERP manufacturing modules (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics), and advanced Excel functions.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership capability, executive presence, and a desire to step into a C-suite role.
