The ideal candidate has 10+ years in accounting, manufacturing or multi-location experience, and strong GAAP knowledge. CPA strongly preferred with ERP expertise (NetSuite/SAP) and a proven leadership track record.

Compensation: $160,000–$200,000 + bonus and comprehensive benefits

A well-established and growing organization is seeking a highly experienced Corporate Controller to join its senior finance leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting executive who can oversee a broad corporate accounting function while partnering closely with the CFO and executive leadership.

The successful candidate will bring significant experience in a manufacturing or multi-location environment, a strong technical accounting foundation, and demonstrated leadership experience. A CPA is strongly preferred, along with experience using NetSuite, SAP, or another enterprise-level ERP system.

Position Overview

The Corporate Controller will have overall responsibility for the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, controls, and accounting policies. This individual will provide leadership to the accounting team while working closely with operations and senior management to ensure accurate financial information and effective financial processes.

The position requires someone who can balance strategic thinking with a willingness to remain involved in the details. The ideal candidate will be comfortable improving processes, strengthening controls, developing employees, and providing management with financial information that supports sound business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day corporate accounting function and establish priorities for the accounting team
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and financial reporting
• Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Ensure financial statements and management reports are accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule
• Review reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and other significant accounting activity
• Analyze financial results and investigate significant variances, trends, and unusual activity
• Provide financial reporting and analysis to the CFO and executive management team
• Maintain accounting policies and procedures consistent with GAAP and organizational requirements
• Oversee the company's fixed asset accounting and capitalization processes
• Coordinate the annual audit and manage relationships with external auditors and other outside financial professionals
• Maintain and enhance internal accounting controls and financial procedures
• Support compliance with applicable financial, tax, and regulatory requirements
• Partner with operational leaders on budgeting, forecasting, working capital, and financial performance
• Monitor cash flow and working capital and communicate significant financial trends to leadership
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve reporting, and increase efficiency
• Lead ERP optimization and financial systems initiatives
• Evaluate opportunities for automation and improved use of technology throughout the accounting function
• Recruit, develop, coach, and retain accounting personnel
• Establish appropriate departmental processes, controls, and performance expectations
• Work cross-functionally with operations, human resources, and other departments on financial matters
• Provide financial expertise and recommendations on business initiatives and organizational decisions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• CPA strongly preferred
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• 4+ years in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or comparable senior accounting leadership position
• Manufacturing experience required
• Experience supporting a multi-location or complex operating environment preferred
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Demonstrated knowledge of internal controls, audit procedures, and accounting policies
• Experience with NetSuite, SAP, or another major ERP platform
• Strong analytical and financial reporting capabilities
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Proven ability to lead and develop an accounting team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to see the broader business picture
• Ability to work effectively with senior executives and cross-functional leadership
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment
